The location offers easy access to various restaurants and a mall within walking distance. Breakfast was impressive with a great selection, including pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and fresh coffee. Unfortunately, there were hiccups with reservation verification over the phone, and the staff could have been more responsive. However, the rooms were spacious and accommodating, adding to the overall experience.

I particularly enjoyed the inviting decor and spacious common areas, which were well-lit and accessible, making it easy for seniors like myself to navigate comfortably around the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Merrillville, An Ihg Hotel.

More seating in the lobby area would be helpful.

Merrillville's culinary scene is on fire! Red Robin's burgers are a must, and Chipotle's burritos hit the spot too. The double room was comfortable, and the staff was pretty helpful when it mattered.

The toilet saga was a bummer. After two calls to the desk and zero communication back, we had to bounce early. Not the type of vibes you want at a hotel. Communication is key, ya know?

my stay at holiday inn express was fantastic. everything was clean, and the lobby was beautifully designed. the beds were super comfortable, and the shampoo and body wash were generous-sized. the night staff, keith, was understanding and really made our experience special. it's also very close to the mall!
